Ali Walker Photography Blog bio picture

Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Ali Walker, a photographer who takes pictures of people. Little people, big people, young people, old people, and people in love. But mostly I photograph weddings. Why weddings? Because I adore them. Each wedding is a unique and amazing feat of design and, most importantly, a celebration that marks a new era in the life of two people. I am always so honored to be a part of what is really a very intimate day for my clients. My photography approach is both artistic and photojournalistic so that I can create a beautiful, honest story through my camera's viewfinder.

Originally from Bellevue, WA, I now call Walla Walla my home. I have two wee ones who are both funny and clever and a fat black cat with an unfortunate name. When I'm not busy behind my camera, I can be found reading Dwell magazine, listening to Regina Spektor, and dreaming of travel.

Ali Walker Photography is located in downtown Walla Walla just one block off Main Street and is available for wedding and portrait commissions nationwide. If you're planning a wedding or a lifestyle photography session and like what you see, please contact me so we can schedule a meeting and talk about your photography needs.

Sharon & Ben

Sharon and Ben were married earlier this month at Anthony’s Homeport in Richland, WA. Sharon’s wedding was so understated and elegant. And I don’t know how we missed discovering that we went to the same high school on the West side until her wedding day. What a small world!

Sharon’s bridesmaids all broke down when they saw Sharon in her dress.

Jill & Ben

Jill and Ben were married on Jill’s father’s huge apple orchard outside of the Tri-Cities. This wedding was the largest I’ve photographed to date–I think there were 600 guests or so. Amazing! Ben is one of the most charismatic people I’ve ever met and Jill is one of the sweetest. I wish them both the best with many years of love and snowboarding goodness.

Hallie & Chance

Hallie and Chance were married recently and the incredible Cameo Heights Mansion near Touchet, WA. The vistas–just wow. Hallie was a stunning bride and their wedding was so much fun.

Janelle + Greg

Janelle and Greg were married on an amazingly hot day at Stone Ridge Event Center in Pasco, WA. We had to duck in and out of the building during the portrait session so everyone would stay cool and comfortable. This crowd was so much fun. Greg’s baby truck, which he fixed up himself, decided to cooperate and make it to the wedding, so we were able to use it for some of their portraits. Awesome day and I have to give kudos to the bridal party for braving the heat with no complaining.

On to the images.

Another sneak peak.

I wish people would wear clown noses in all of my group shots.
