Ali Walker Photography Blog bio picture

Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Ali Walker, a photographer who takes pictures of people. Little people, big people, young people, old people, and people in love. But mostly I photograph weddings. Why weddings? Because I adore them. Each wedding is a unique and amazing feat of design and, most importantly, a celebration that marks a new era in the life of two people. I am always so honored to be a part of what is really a very intimate day for my clients. My photography approach is both artistic and photojournalistic so that I can create a beautiful, honest story through my camera's viewfinder.

Originally from Bellevue, WA, I now call Walla Walla my home. I have two wee ones who are both funny and clever and a fat black cat with an unfortunate name. When I'm not busy behind my camera, I can be found reading Dwell magazine, listening to Regina Spektor, and dreaming of travel.

Ali Walker Photography is located in downtown Walla Walla just one block off Main Street and is available for wedding and portrait commissions nationwide. If you're planning a wedding or a lifestyle photography session and like what you see, please contact me so we can schedule a meeting and talk about your photography needs.

I’m trying to green up my life, which I’m extending to my business as much as possible. I’m introducing new green DVD packaging. These cases are made from 100% recycled paper and hold two DVDs.

Married: Evangeline and Caleb

Evangeline and Caleb were married on a gorgeous winter day just north of Pasco. The church where the ceremony and reception took place was especially meaningful to them because it’s the church where they attended school growing up (which is, of course, how they met). I loved the sweeping vistas of the farm country surrounding the venue-such a beautiful setting for portraits. Evangeline included such cool touches in her day–I especially loved her vintage wedding dress, circa 1962. Here are some of my favorite shots from their day.
