Ali Walker Photography Blog bio picture

Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Ali Walker, a photographer who takes pictures of people. Little people, big people, young people, old people, and people in love. But mostly I photograph weddings. Why weddings? Because I adore them. Each wedding is a unique and amazing feat of design and, most importantly, a celebration that marks a new era in the life of two people. I am always so honored to be a part of what is really a very intimate day for my clients. My photography approach is both artistic and photojournalistic so that I can create a beautiful, honest story through my camera's viewfinder.

Originally from Bellevue, WA, I now call Walla Walla my home. I have two wee ones who are both funny and clever and a fat black cat with an unfortunate name. When I'm not busy behind my camera, I can be found reading Dwell magazine, listening to Regina Spektor, and dreaming of travel.

Ali Walker Photography is located in downtown Walla Walla just one block off Main Street and is available for wedding and portrait commissions nationwide. If you're planning a wedding or a lifestyle photography session and like what you see, please contact me so we can schedule a meeting and talk about your photography needs.

Married: Lisa and Darin

Lisa and Darin were married on a blustery October afternoon at Stone Ridge Event Center in Pasco, WA. They had a really beautiful, intimate affair that happened to be catered by Frank at Picazo. Best. Food. Ever. Lisa was such a relaxed bride and she really set the tone for the day–not even the crazy weather fazed her. Here are some of my favorites from their day.

Congratulations to Lisa and Darin!

Engaged: Blayne and Ty

Blayne and Ty are getting married next June at the Moore Mansion in Pasco, WA. We met up in Richland for an engagement session this past weekend. The fall colors made the most incredible backdrop! Blayne and Ty are an absolute pleasure to photograph and I especially appreciate that they completely trust in my artistic vision. Here are just a few of my favorites from their session.

Married: Victoria and Ryan

Sit back and grab a cup of tea–this is a long one! I’ve had a really difficult time narrowing down my favorites from this awesome wedding to post to the blog. Victoria and Ryan were married last month at 360 Degree Cellars in Kennewick, WA. The day was simply incredible in every way. Victoria, Ryan, and their families were such a pleasure to work with. The day was both tender and fun. See for yourself.

Victoria’s shoes were hot.

Ryan gave Victoria a beautiful cross from Tiffany.

These were captured just moments before Ryan and Victoria saw each other for the first time.

Everyone was surprised by a dance the girls had prepared for Ryan.

One of the groomsmen and one of the bridesmaids traded clothes. Awesomeness.

Towards the end of the night, Vicky’s bridesmaid wanted my camera to shoot a picture of Victoria and me together. I obliged.

Congratulations to Victoria and Ryan!

Married: Emily and Tyler

Emily and Tyler had a spectacular wedding at her parent’s home in Richland, WA. Her parent’s house is fantastic and has a huge yard, which they decorated perfectly with incredible floral arrangements, large tents, lawn games, and a swing band! (I guess a swing band isn’t techincally a decoration, but the band did look very cool and sounded fantastic.) It was hot the day of their wedding, so Emily and Tyler opted to do some portraits in the morning of just the two of them before the heat hit. It was such a pleasure working with Tyler and Emily–they’re such a sweet, fun, and creative people. Here are a few of my favorites from their day.

Congratulations to Emily and Tyler!
