Ali Walker Photography Blog bio picture

Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Ali Walker, a photographer who takes pictures of people. Little people, big people, young people, old people, and people in love. But mostly I photograph weddings. Why weddings? Because I adore them. Each wedding is a unique and amazing feat of design and, most importantly, a celebration that marks a new era in the life of two people. I am always so honored to be a part of what is really a very intimate day for my clients. My photography approach is both artistic and photojournalistic so that I can create a beautiful, honest story through my camera's viewfinder.

Originally from Bellevue, WA, I now call Walla Walla my home. I have two wee ones who are both funny and clever and a fat black cat with an unfortunate name. When I'm not busy behind my camera, I can be found reading Dwell magazine, listening to Regina Spektor, and dreaming of travel.

Ali Walker Photography is located in downtown Walla Walla just one block off Main Street and is available for wedding and portrait commissions nationwide. If you're planning a wedding or a lifestyle photography session and like what you see, please contact me so we can schedule a meeting and talk about your photography needs.

Anytime: Stefanie and Jeremy

Stefanie is a fantastic photographer who came out to our place a few weeks ago to capture our family. (We love our pictures, Stefanie, and can’t thank you enough!) I returned the favor in the form of a couples session for her and her seriously funny husband, Jeremy. Here are a few of my favorites from their session.

Married: Morgan and Tyler

Morgan and Tyler were married at the amazing Airfield Estates Winery in Prosser, WA. Morgan and Tyler had a wild crew over from the Seattle area for their wedding and it was a totally fun party that I’m sure went on long after I left. Here are some of my favorites from the day.

Morgan and her sister, Taylor, share an amazing bond.

The girls went outside to scuff the soles of their shoes, a frenzy which caused some flowers to fall.

Here Morgan and Tyler see each other for the first time on their wedding day.

The gorgeous Morgan.

The handsome Tyler.

I love this exchange between Morgan and her mother as she makes her way down the aisle.

One of Morgan’s professors from Law School officiated.

The event was catered by Picazo. Everyone raved about the incredible food.

Reception fun!

Congratulations to Morgan and Tyler!

Blargh.

It’s that time of year again…cooler temps (yay!), pumpkins (yay!), yummy soups and comfort foods (yay!), and recurring malaise (boo!). Our son started back to school three weeks ago and already cold number two is circulating through our home. Can you tell who is feeling the lousiest?

And I couldn’t let this post pass without posting a Lucy shot. I never thought I could dig a small dog, but she’s so, so cool. Big dog in a small dog’s body. We can’t figure out what’s in her. My guess is Jack Russell/Chihauha. The vet said terrier-mix (how vague can you be?). Any guesses?

I’ve got loads to post. I’m at the tail-end of wedding season and am spending lots of hours behind the computer. I’ll be getting some awesome weddings and e-sessions up soon!

Married: Jenny and Lance

Jenny and Lance celebrated their marriage on hot day in August at Stone Ridge Event Center in Pasco, WA. Did I mention it was hot? Whooboy! The guys didn’t have to suffer in tuxedos, thank goodness, and looked fantastic in their white shirts. Jenny looked incredible in Grecian-style dress. Here are some of my favorites from their wedding.

Jenny’s flowers were incredible.

Jenny comforting her 11-week old nephew while her sister gets ready.

Seeing each other for the first time under the gazebo.

Time for portraits!

The ceremony…

And the reception! Jenny and her sister have a special bond and their toast was really sweet.

Jenny totally knows how to get down.

Congratulations to Jenny and Lance!!
