Ali Walker Photography Blog bio picture

Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Ali Walker, a photographer who takes pictures of people. Little people, big people, young people, old people, and people in love. But mostly I photograph weddings. Why weddings? Because I adore them. Each wedding is a unique and amazing feat of design and, most importantly, a celebration that marks a new era in the life of two people. I am always so honored to be a part of what is really a very intimate day for my clients. My photography approach is both artistic and photojournalistic so that I can create a beautiful, honest story through my camera's viewfinder.

Originally from Bellevue, WA, I now call Walla Walla my home. I have two wee ones who are both funny and clever and a fat black cat with an unfortunate name. When I'm not busy behind my camera, I can be found reading Dwell magazine, listening to Regina Spektor, and dreaming of travel.

Ali Walker Photography is located in downtown Walla Walla just one block off Main Street and is available for wedding and portrait commissions nationwide. If you're planning a wedding or a lifestyle photography session and like what you see, please contact me so we can schedule a meeting and talk about your photography needs.

Married: Jovelle and Roy

Jovelle and Roy were married in Hermiston, OR on a gorgeous fall day. Jovelle’s dress, which she found in Texas, was incredible and she was absolutely stunning. Their day was full of tons of emotion and it was very clear to me that these two adore each other.

I want to say thank you to Aaron Pelly who came out to help me shoot this wedding!

Engaged: Cassie and Nick

I met up with Cassie and Nick at her family farm for anengagement session last weekend. These two were up for all of my ideas and very relaxed in front of the camera–such a pleasure to work with! Cassies parents sent me home with a bag of organic apples from their orchard–we’re enjoying them! I’m looking forward to their wedding next summer at 360 Degree Cellars.

Here are a few of my favorites from their session.

Engaged: Sarah and Andy

Sarah and Andy decided to have their engagement session at Sarah’s family home in Richland, WA. This is my absolute favorite time of year with all of the gorgeous fall colors and I’m so glad we were able to capture some of that in their photos.

This first shot was taken with my tilt-shift lens. I love the dreamy effect it produces.

I hope everyone is enjoying our gorgeous autumn weather!
