Kaci

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph Kaci for her senior portraits. She was such a fun and easy going senior! We had a lot of fun roaming around downtown Kennewick for our shoot. Thank you, Kaci!

Hi everyone!

I’m so overdue for a blog update. Fall is whizzing by here in the Walker household and we’re doing our best to enjoy it! Our house is situated on 2 1/2 beautiful acres overlooking a lush park and the colors now are amazing. We’re trying to get out an enjoy the season as a family.

But as I was saying, I’ve got a few sessions to update here on my blog. I’m also working on some winter promotional specials, so check back soon for an update!

I’ll leave you with an image I shot of my daughter last night. I typically prefer using natural light when I shoot, but oftentimes it’s just not possible. At weddings, for example, I have no control over the time of day or the venue, so I have to crank out my own lighting. This shot is an example of what can be done with a simple strobe in a dimly-lit room!

A few weeks ago I shot some photos for Derek’s modeling portfolio. We got so many great shots that I had a difficult time narrowing them down! Here are a few of my favorites.

What to wear

Tuesday, October 9th, 2007

People often ask me what to wear to a family session. Michele of Pinkletoes Photography in Austin, TX just posted this fabulous piece in her blog about what to wear for a family shoot–especially timely with people gearing up for Holiday photos!

Speaking of holiday photos, I’m putting together a little holiday shoot special so check back in the next few days for more information!

Becca

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Becca for her senior portraits. I was so excited to finally get to photograph a RED HEAD! Becca is darling and sweet and we had so much fun together roaming around the campus of Whitman college. We stayed pretty safe for a while and then moved to downtown Walla Walla near the end of the shoot to have some fun with the scenery there. Here are a few of my favorites from her shoot.

Away and busy!

Hi everyone! I don’t mean to be neglecting this place, but I’m out of town visiting family in Portland and haven’t had the chance to post anything about the recent sessions I’ve had. I will return home on Wednesday, so stay tuned for more posts with session previews.
